It is the eighth of December, Christmas day is sixteen days away. If you are wondering how we made it up to here, it has been a year of showing resilience by all of us. The world belongs to those to dream, work hard and help others to achieve and do more. The world came together to fight a silent killer lurking in the air, spreading all over the globe. In January we looked as Wuhan went into lockdown, two months later the rest of the world followed and we sat down at home taking a moment to contemplate the strange circumstances overwhelming us. Nine months later and the world is still struggling with the aggressive pandemic.
South Africa is dealing with COVID in a far better way as we anticipated. The number of infections is too high but not as drastic as Europe and the United States of America. We all stepped up to wear a mask, use sanitizers and practice social distancing as much as possibly allowed while stepping out to work. The country might face many issues, but South Africans should be proud of how we all did our part to suppress the might of COVID.
