The North Star can accommodate intimate functions such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and dinner experiences. Please read through the event options offered before filling in the quote form to ensure you choose the correct options for your event.

Looking for a venue for your birthday, bachelor’s, engagement or any other type of party? With our full-day exclusive use venue, we aim to provide maximum exclusivity, privacy and creative freedom for your event.

Keep in mind:

  • Keep in mind:

    • Our maximum capacity is 50 people. 
    • The venue hire includes all 7 of our luxury sea-facing rooms.  This is to ensure privacy and exclusivity for your event. 
    • Catering is not included in the venue hire – but we have a beautifully curated menu. Please get in touch with us to discuss the available catering options.
    • External catering is allowed at R120 per person.
    • Corkage is R120 per bottle. For wines and champagne only
    • We have a cake surcharge when using your own caterer at R220 per cake.
    • Setup may incur extra costs and needs to be approved beforehand.
    • Parties of less than 20 people are not subject to venue hire but a gratuity fee of 10% will be added to the final bill. 
    • We have limited on-site parking, but there is more parking available at Eastmoor beach parking.
    • The venue strictly closes at 22:00 PM, last rounds at 21:45 PM.
    • Please ensure you read the terms and conditions when completing a quote.

Our beautiful garden venue, looking out to the ocean is the perfect backdrop to fulfil your every childhood fairy tale fantasy. With our full-day exclusive-use venue, we aim to provide maximum exclusivity, privacy and creative freedom for your event.

Keep in mind:

  • Our maximum capacity is 50 people. 
  • For weddings, the venue hire includes 2 days of accommodation hire – enough time too for your 3 party vendors such as décor, furniture and florists to set every up beautifully and with no interruptions.
  • The venue hire includes all 7 of our luxury sea-facing rooms.  This is to ensure privacy and exclusivity for your event. 
  • Catering is not included in the venue hire – but we have a beautifully curated menu. Please get in touch with us to discuss the available catering options.
  • Catering must be booked in advance and will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment.
  • One month before the wedding date the following documents need to be handed in for approval: Guest list, Vendor List, Floor Plan, and Order of Events. North Star holds the right to cancel the event should these not be supplied in time.
  • External catering is allowed at R120 per person.
  • Corkage is R120 per bottle. Champagne and wine only.
  • We have a cake surcharge when using your own caterer at R220 per cake.
  • Storage for food or decor before the wedding needs to be arranged beforehand.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Max 50 people
  2. One month before the wedding date the following documents need to be handed in for approval: Guest list, Vendor List, Floor Plan, Order of Events. North Star holds the right to cancel the event should these not be supplied in time.
  3. A holding deposit will be added to certain events that will be refunded the same day after the function if no breakage occurred.
  4. A penalty fee will be charged for any decor items left behind after the breakdown.
  5. We have limited on-site parking, and there is more parking available at Eastmoor beach parking
  6. The venue strictly closes at 22:00 PM, last rounds at 21:45 PM. 
  7. 10% gratuity will be added to the total bill for 10+ guests.
  8. We charge Corkage per bottle at R120.
  9. We have a Cake surcharge when using your own caterer at R220 per cake.
  10. Catering must be booked in advance and will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment.
  11. Cancellations must be made in writing a minimum of 5 days prior to the function/event for a refund to be
    made. Refunds will be subject to a 30% admin fee.
  12. In extreme cases of bad weather, i.e. severe rain, the Function/Event will be rescheduled, but all equipment
    and staff hired will be at the clients’ expense. If this is not suitable, a 70% venue refund will be payable.
    Refunds will be subject to a 30% admin fee. If the cancellation instruction is given at late notice, no refund will
    be given.
  13. All food and beverages must be ordered at least 3 days in advance for all Functions/Events.
  14. Storage for food or decor before and during the wedding/event needs to be arranged beforehand.
  15. No bottles, cooler bags/boxes, flasks or urns are allowed. All beverages must be ordered from the restaurant.
  16. No additional seating gazebos, umbrellas or furniture is allowed without prior approval.
